Midtown Madness 2 Have you ever wanted to drive around London like a madman. OK, most people in London drive like this, anyway. I mean *really* mad. Drive through trafalger square, with pedestrians diving out of your path. Drive the wrong way down regent street, and jump over Tower Bridge on a big red bus? Well, now you can. Midtown Madness 2 is a classic arcade racer, with 2 real cities to drive around. There are quite a few racing modes to keep you interested, and loads of cars and secrets to unlock. The 'learn to be a taxi driver' and 'learn to be a stunt driver' modes are great fun, although the rubbish cockney accent that accompanies the former is truly laughable. The environments are huge and (from what I can tell) accurate. The graphics are good, fairly fast, and (most improtantly) highly configurable. The sound is average, with pedestrians screaming "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!?" when you drive a bit too close. And the game plays as well as it's prequel, which is to say it plays very well indeed. This is worthy of your money, especially so if you don't own the first, or if you are a big driving game fan. Otherwise, think for a bit, play the demo (if one exists - otherwise play the demo of Midtown Madness 1 - its fairly similar), and then decide to buy it. Don't expect anything too deep - It's simply a great arcade racer.
